Seascape photography

by Cormac Scanlan

There is something particularly satisfying about seascape photography. The seas and oceans are grand in scale and no matter what the whether, the water makes for an epic and interesting subject. I am particularly fond of long exposure seascape photography, which I usually do with neutral density filters during the day.

Reducing the amount of light through the lens I exposure for several minutes at a time. By dilating time like this, and judging the light just right, you can open up a dreamy, tranquil new world, ordinarily hidden from view.
